Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also called endodontics) is needed when the pulp inside your tooth becomes infected through tooth decay, or damaged by an injury to your mouth.

Root canal treatment is designed to preserve the remaining healthy tooth structure and prevent any infection from spreading, by cleaning out the root canal system. Root canal treatment can involve two or more visits, and we will often suggest strengthening the tooth post-treatment with a crown. Your course of treatment will be discussed with you to ensure you have a full understanding of what to expect.
