Crowns

A crown is a type of dental restoration used to repair teeth that have been broken, weakened by decay or contain a very large filling. This option may be recommended to prolong the tooth’s viability by strengthening the remaining tooth structure.

Crowns are a natural-looking restoration that functions like a real tooth, so you can bite and chew as usual.

For your crown treatment, you will require two appointments. The first appointment will be to prepare the tooth. This involves shaping the existing tooth, taking an impression or 3D scan of your teeth, and then protecting it with a temporary restoration, as well as determining the colour your new crown will be to match your other teeth. We then send the impression/scan to our dental laboratory to have your crown made. Your second appointment will be to remove the temporary crown and fit your custom-made permanent crown
