Extractions/Oral Surgery

An extraction is when your dentist removes one of your teeth. This can be the recommended treatment in cases of advanced gum disease, tooth decay, impacted wisdom teeth, and broken teeth that are beyond repair.

It is always important to get the advice of a dental professional if you are worried about any of your teeth. Never attempt to pull out your own tooth at home as this could cause a more serious problem.

When your dentist performs an extraction, they may take an x-ray of the tooth beforehand, and we will normally use a local anesthetic. You will be provided with after-care instructions to take home with you.
